What types of materials does the library accept as donations?

Thank you for considering a donation to our library! We accept a variety of materials that can help enrich our collections and provide valuable resources for the community. Here’s what we typically accept:

  1. Books: We welcome books in good condition across a wide range of genres and for all age groups. This includes fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, and young adult books.

  2. Audiovisual Materials: We accept CDs and DVDs, both movies and music, that are in good condition. Please ensure that these items are free of scratches and are in their original cases.

  3. Magazines: We accept recent issues of popular magazines. They should be in good condition without missing pages or significant wear.

Please note that all items should be in good, usable condition – clean, free of mold and excessive wear, and ideally from a smoke-free environment. We unfortunately cannot accept items that are dirty, damaged, or in poor condition.

Additionally, there may be some items we cannot accept due to space constraints, community needs, or duplication of materials. These typically include textbooks, outdated reference materials, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, and vinyl records.

For large donations or donations of rare or special items, please contact us directly so we can make appropriate arrangements.
