# Borrowing, Renewing and Returning in Libby

BORROWING, RENEWING & RETURNING IN LIBBY

Here's how to check out titles, keep them longer, and return them when you're done.

  BORROWING

- 1- Search or browse, then tap a book's cover to see its details
- 2- If it's available, tap **Borrow**
- 3- To change how long you keep it, tap the loan period next to **Borrowing for…**
- 4- Tap **Borrow** again to check it out

Your loans are on your **Shelf**. In the Libby app, books and audiobooks download automatically over Wi-Fi so you can read or listen offline.

   RENEWING

You can renew a title a few days before it's due.

- 1- Tap **Shelf**, then **Loans**
- 2- Tap **Manage Loan**, then **Renew Loan**
- 3- Tap **Renew Loan** again to confirm

   RETURNING

Titles **return automatically** on their due date. To return one early:

- 1- Tap **Shelf**, then **Loans**
- 2- Tap **Manage Loan**, then **Return Early**
- 3- Tap **Return Loan** to confirm

*Kindle books (U.S. only) can't be returned early in Libby. Return them through Amazon's website or your Kindle instead.*
